This is an exciting arrangement of Kyrie by Mr. Mister (1984) for marching band. It features your low brass on the first verse melody, high woodwinds on ringing arpeggio over the theme. The second verse features high brass. The second chorus includes an optional high trumpet solo over the band on the melody 8va. The driving rhythm is captured with the sousaphones and bass trombones, timpani, snare drums, quad toms, and bass drums. The ending reuses the opening "kyrie" dense harmonies but resolves to the major six (picardy third). Your crowd will move with nostalga and excitement with this piece.
