‘Reverie’ is the first movement of a Suite for Alto Saxophone and Piano. It is aimed at Intermediate to Advanced students (both the Saxophone and the piano) and provides for young and emerging players to develop reading and interpretive skills - and it is fun!
The movement is in two sections suggesting both a ‘dreamy’ reverie, and a more playful, ‘bubbly’ one!
Although the work is written without key signature, there is a sense of tonality throughout.
A Duet version, for Alto Saxophone and Horn in F is also available.
